My old Ping Pioneer is starting to rub the club shafts and a couple of zippers are just starting to have issues......recently purchased a Powakaddy trolley (the cheapest one) and wouldn't mind a bag that locks in since my bags have always twisted to the side of my trolleys. The Dri-Tech bag is waterproof but the Flex is about £80 cheaper.....any recommendations? I tend to carry way too much stuff in the bag, but either choice seems to have plenty of space. There is an obvious advantage in the rain to have a waterproof bag......

I’ve got the non waterproof version, and as good as it is, I’d get a waterproof one next. When it chucks it down I have to get everything out of the pockets to let it all dry, even stuff I’ve not used. Same with any bag that’s not waterproof I guess.

Other than that, it’s perfect. Spacious, plenty of pockets, convenient etc.

I’ve have a waterproof one from 2017.

It’s OK, one of the zip pulls has broken off, the storage loop for the umbrella is awkward to use when the pockets are full of waterproofs.

Probably, look at something else next time, if they haven’t sorted out the umbrella storage.

I've never used an umbrella while playing golf. I have rain gear I put on......

I had rain gear as well. That includes using an umbrella because every little helps to keep yourself dry.

Back on topic. I had a PowaCaddy bag a few years ago and never really liked it as I had the non waterproofed one and found it let so much water in you couldn’t even use it in a light drizzle and took so long to dry out. Even though I only carry now I’ll never own another bag that isn’t waterproofed.

I have a powacaddy trolley, but have never had a powacaddy bag. The vast majority of bags have a base that enables it to be locked onto the trolley.
I have a Big Max bag now, and it has the necessary base. I would check before you limit yourself to powacaddy bags.

Sorry I bothered to respond to you, smart arse. Most golfers I see carry an umbrella on a cart bag that fixes onto their trolley.
I wasn't trying to be a "smart arse" at all.....not sure why you automatically took it that way. I have never carried an umbrella while playing golf, I've always thought it was just too much faff. Obviously a lot of other people don't mind using an umbrella.
