Posting golf clubs

I've sent 20+ parcels out through MyHermes and , without fail, they've been delivered on the 2nd day. If I drop them at the shop Monday, they're delivered Wednesday...

Another happy Hermes user.

And another!

Isn't tracking automatic and free? I've always notified recipient of the number and never had a query. Exceeded weight a couple of times, marginally, and no prob. I cut the box down if I can, but think slightly too long would get by too. A lot cheaper - and better service - than PF/RM imo.

Is that to post my Pro V's :D

At £40/dozen you can have as many as you like :D .......... Of course I'm joking. The thread will be posted tomorrow morning including prices.

Reassuring to hear Ian.

I'm just looking for my local shop now

First dibs to Andy

Anyone sent a club to the Channel Islands? Someone off eBay brought one of mine and I'm having trouble finding a courier at a decent price.

I've sent a similar number and, without fial, they've been delivered on the third day. That is... picked up on day n from my house and delivered to the recipient on day n+3.

As already mentioned, home pickup results in one extra day for delivery.

I rate MyHermes very highly from my experiences.

Suggest you don't use UPS! A club I ordered was sent by them. First of all they tried to deliver it at 10.20am on a day when I was out attending a Funeral, and the next working day I had to wait in all day until nearly 5pm for delivery. They seem to have no customer service that I could find. Any phone numbers just send you round in a loop of other phone numbers with automated responses, not of which answered my question. It was impossible to speak to a human being. Not impressed! :(

How are UPS supposed to know if you are at a Funeral ?

Adidas delivered via UPS and found them great - the driver couldn't deliver to me once but left his mobile number and I rearranged to deliver at my work

No courier is perfect but over quite a few dozen deliveries and pickups I have found UPS and FedEx to be very reliable. Often the delivery route passes common delivery points twice, so morning or afternoon pickups can occur. So long as the derived left a card I don't think you can blame them for calling when you aren't in.

How was I supposed to know they were going to attempt to deliver my parcel on that exact day?

At least you got some customer service and was contacted by a human being. I can't blame UPS for my being at a late friend's funeral on Friday, but I had a totally wasted day today (Monday) waiting for them to turn up, and couldn't even get an estimate of when they might turn up. I had a Doctor's appointment at 4.00 pm and was forced to be out of the house for three-quarters of an hour for that. Fortunately the delivery turned up at 5pm after I had got back, or another day would have wasted, or I would have to go and pick up the parcel from their delivery centre several miles away! :(
