I recently had an order for a V-Easy from county Kildare.
I posted it on 29 sept and have just found out it still hasn't arrived yet.
Is this normal for posting to southern Ireland?

I wasn't totally confident so I put my own return address on the box thinking at worst it will be returned to me.
How can it be so difficult?

Posting outside main areas down south are a lottery, no postcodes doesnt help historically.
I remember working with a guy and his entire address was a street and a town, nothing else, most kit usually got to him but jeepers, it would take a regular postie to remember them all.

Anything that gets posted to me usually ends up at my mum and dads hoose. Saves the postie stopping the van twice I think
Never had a problem with anything going missing or taking an age to get here though.

Have you spoken to the intended recipient or have you entered the 'track & trace' number into the website and it's come up as either not delivered or it's still in the postal system?

I sent my passport via royal mail to the Vietnamese embassy in London this summer to get a tourist visa. Anyway, I checked the track & trace thing on the website which said it hadn't been delivered. I couldn't actually speak to anyone at the embassy to check. So I had to buy a new passport for my hols as time was now running short.

Turns out it had been delivered after all and the postie just hadn't registered it as having being delivered. In the mean time, I cancelled my existing passport (now at the embassy) and appilied for a new one (which it turns out I didn't actually need). This process cost me a fortune and I had to change my holiday plans at the last minute.

I suppose what I'm saying in a longer than intended manner is have you spoken to the intended recipient as well as checking with the Royal Mail?

What a brilliant organisation the Post Office is. :D

The V-Easy arrived safe and sound this morning at it's new home in Co.Kildare.

Shame I could have walked there quicker. Still, better late than never.
Hope you enjoy it XXXXXX

Bob one thing ice learned is with the post office EVERYTHING must go recorded. I send parcels all over europe including Ireland and I just don't risk it being untraceable
