Post-lockdown membership increase!

My club has had about thirty new members since golf restarted! This was a surprise to me but are other clubs experiencing a similar uplift in interest?

Are these "new" members or old ones that didn't renew and now want back in..?

On 1st May we put a freeze on new memberships and upgrades to full membership - to be reviewed one month following resumption of play to see how we are coping.

Our renewals are July 31st so these are real new members.

We have had 15 new members join us from other clubs plus another 10 that joined the week before lockdown

Last week I was informed we so far had 18 members who had not renewed rejoin. I believe we are not opening up to new members until the beginning of June to give existing members a good chance of getting reasonable amount of golf in whilst we have a restricted amount of tee time availability.
