There is a serious point here

Apparently the grain of a towel is different in the US to UK, it is deeper and looser, so it tends to "grab" the club more than the grain of a UK towel. So if you are using a US made towel in UK it can really affect your technique.

I can't believe that the manufacturers do not tell you this
