We go to Portugal late September most years (pre covid) and the weather in the Algarve is excellent. Golf in shorts and swim in the sea. Need a parasol on the beach too. Cant remember rain in Sept even once. We have been in Nov and Feb and had some days playing in shorts and some rained off. Goodness knows what you've been looking at.

Going to Palmares this Sept after being Covided off for past few years, can't wait. Nice hotel on the beach near the course. Have some friends who live on the course, so getting mates rates to play. Marvellous, can't wait. .

For shade...too hot otherwise.

For avoidance of doubt, you are thinking about Vilamoura on the Algarve, not somewhere on the outskirts of Aberdeen!!?????

That said, the Algarve always has a bit of a breeze, and the sea isn't as warm as The Med. But it's the blooming Atlantic Ocean.

Dad has a share in a place in Portugal, they always go at the shoulder of the season, much improved over the UK at that time and no danger of it being too hot to play golf as can be in the heat of summer.

Been to the Algarve in mid-September every year since 2001 (except 2 covid years). In total, played about 90 rounds over those holidays, and the weather has been virtually perfect. Mid 20's. Sunny. Light winds. Got rained off the course once. Got thundered off the course once (but able to resume play about 30 mins later). Maybe 3 others days were a bit meh. The rest of the time was perfect.

And off out there again next week :D:cool::love:

Went mid October twice. Pissed it down, and you can forget about sunbathing. Canaries or Turkey for you, my friend.
