Pork pies

I'm going to throw pasties from Cornwall into that list. I had one in Padstow and it was rubbish. I had another from a specialist pastie shop a few days later to test again, different town, and it was no better. Big disappointment.

In terms of pizza, you have named American pizzas that you like. They have adapted Italian pizzas in the same way we have adapted Indian and Chinese food. I take your point though, if you go expecting one thing and get a flat alternative you feel pretty let down.

Bang on, new entry at no.2.

Give me a Sayer's traditional pastie, which is basically just some sort of "mush" as a filling, but well tastier than ones with proper pieces of meat, tater and carrots in.

1. Italian Pizza in Rome.
2. Proper cornish pasties.
3. Melton mowbray pork pies.

Is that were you got your prarda coat, with two R's? :p

I've never done Bulgaria with the footy, only ski-ing.

It's an eye-opener, the airport was like landing in the back of Build base, still bomb holes in the roads and buildings everywhere, we got a local lad who was scamming to be a taxi driver at the airport, we kept him for the week, we were taxi-ing all over the place for about a fiver a day, he loved us, we gave him about £50 (a sweep) on the last day, he actually cried!!

I landed the afternoon a day before kick-off, was on the juice all day & night, bars, clubs, pizza's, street food, got back to my room about 4am, and had spent around £15, you couldn't spend your money, it was soo cheap!!

Everyone loved us everywhere we went, no trouble, it was like Derby in the old stag days, women were 5/1 to men, and some right good lookers.

My flight got delayed by 2-days, I got £100 compo which was impossible to spend and put up in a 5* hotel, what great trip

Sounds boss, so when are we all going to Thracian cliffs for a golf trip, then?;)

It was the same when I went ski-ing about 1996 or 1997. The economy crashed the day before me and a bird I was going out with then landed. We changed £200 in travellers cheques, and couldnt get me hand around the wad of cash. Ate out every night, loads of ale, bought loads of stuff and went home with about £250 each, so booked to see the reds play PSG, after Liverpool got another 500 tickets, with the rest. We got beat 3-0 though. :(

Let’s keep this list going... French restaurants (in France) terrible pretentious places that are closed most of the time.

You don't go to PadStien for decent quality and reasonably priced food.

I think I went to Borovets as well. Is poina Brasov the ones with Vlad's castle is near, if it is I did Borovets.

I got bladdered one night, and was well hungover the next day, and only had blue sunscreen left, so put on what I thought was a liberal amount in my drunken haze. After walking the nursery slopes for 10 miuntes and everyone smirking and meeting eyes with me, had to look in a mirror. I looked like papa smurf on his way to Wembley for the first time, swiftly had to rub it off.

Let’s talk Scotch Pies ??

Are those the ones you used to get with a pint of bitter after 10pm in Scotland so they could stay open because they were selling 'food'.

I remember them being all over the tables , untouched, as we used to leave the pub.
