I'd rather stick rusty pins in my eyes with a claw hammer or never ever buy another pair of my-joys than contemplate anything connected with bridge

I was going to say we have a couple they go over the 4th 6th 12th I think........i believe they stop your feet getting wet

At my old man's club, deep in the heart of the wrinklies riviera, not only do they play bridge, but also cribbage...

Surprised by the strong feelings aroused. How many eye-pinners have actually played? Rather like golf, the pleasure is usually to be had in the company/banter than any particularly glorious efforts on the way round.

I used to play bridge at school so it can't be an age thing and no, I wasn't a teacher close to retirement. It was at our youth club.

I have never put my appendage in a bacon slicer but I can guess it's not a nice experience. Well! probably not as bad as a bridge club though.
