Playing MacDonald Linden Hall

As the subject says, thie coming Monday I'm playing MacDonald Linden Hall, Morpeth. I got hte round from one of the groupon offers a while back, so was just wondering if anyone had played the course and could give a few pointers on any difficult holes or gotchas to look out for.

Not played in a while but it's got some great Par 3's. Think the forecast is to be good on Monday so hope you have a good game.

Well as some one once said, it'll chance be a a good walk spolied, but hopefully I can tame the driving slice and give my regular playing partner a run for his money.

Played there in august, layout is great, but condition of course was very disappointing. Played there couple years ago and was great condition, so was pretty gutted, know couple members there who saying the same. Hope they have managed to remedy this, enjoy the layout and as stated the par 3 s are very good.

Played it a few weeks ago under the Groupon voucher outstanding deal the buggy is a must....thought the course was in very good condition so should be even better now.....yeah the par 3's are quality..had my best game in a while there....enjoy it....

played it for a couple of years but moved on due to poor drainage meaning it was unplayable when other courses were open I know they have been trying to improve this so it should be better now. a great layout but it is quite a walk with some decent gaps between holes. take it easy on the 1st if you have a slice, consider a hybrid or long iron for accuracy. The par 3's are great but require good accuracy or you will be in bother!
I would also take care on the 6th as more often than not I would slice into the lateral water hazard if using the
Driver. my favourite hole is the 12th which is a double dogleg par 5 with an island type green, take care with club selection for your shot in, or lay up and chip on for safety!

I played in the back end of august, Its a local course for me. Fab course and lovely one to play but condition was overall poor. Real shame as green fees are at the premium price for the local area.
