Playing golf in a thunder storm

You came in without finishing. You Wuss.

Me and a mate played in an electric storm in the early 90's. course to ourselves.
most relaxed game I ever had . No one else on the course.

Now fishing with a 13 metre graphite pole in your hand, that's another matter

Aye right.

My ar5e would have been like a clenched fist till I got to the clubhouse. If I farted, dogs would be barking.

I played in Sheffield yesterday at Tinsley Park, and as we got to the 12th there was a bolt of lightning and some thunder way off in the distance, not too bad I thought and carried on playing.

what did you think of Tinsley? I moved to sheffield in 2005 and have only just started playing the courses up here this past month and have only played Beaucheif so far but drive past Tins everyday

I've put a review of Tinsley up in the review section not so long back fella.

Cracking track, so much so I happily drive for 45 miles to play the bloody thing as often as possible!

Best muni i've ever clamped eyes on and far far far better than an awful lot of private courses i've played.

Tips for playing in thunderstorm...

Shelter under trees if there are lots of them. It's sheltering under single trees that's not a good idea.

Play with someone taller than you

just read your review, sounds very nice although I am not surprised from what I saw when I played beaucheif which has the best views from a golf course I have ever seen and was very nice despite the wet weather we had just had. Got a few days off coming up (as well as the whole summer holidays) so am going to try and play regularly. The council actually do a deal where you can become a member to all 4 council run courses for 43.99 a month unlimited golf and also use all there other facilities such as the gyms and swimming pools etc.

was the comp you mentioned the sheffield open by the way?
