Played here back in May and the course was in lovely condition. The greens were running fast, the fairways were nicely cut and the bunkers were well maintained. There's quite a lot of water meaning there is an abundance of interesting holes, such as the 3rd where you drive over water, onto a peninsula fairway, then play over water again to the green, that was definitely a difficult hole! Another great hole was the par 5 15th with a right angle dogleg, and a big carry over water if you decide to go for the green in two, or you can lay up short on the fairway with a short carry over water. The practice/warm up facilities were great, with a putting green, chipping green and driving range. The pro shop was well stocked with friendly staff, and the clubhouse was magnificent; a converted barn turned into a fantastic modern clubhouse with a very high ceiling, making for a great place to relax after a round. I'd definitely return again if I had the chance!

Living in Bristol, this club is only about 6 miles from home & is definitely on my list to play next year.
In fact, if it wasn't in such an awkward place to get to for me (traffic issues) & having to book tee times rather than just turn up & play, then I would seriously consider joining as a member.

I got to play there for free with a family friend through his business; it did seem like a quite corporate place as the clubhouse was very nice inside and out. But if you have a chance to get down there for a round, I'd definitely recommend that you do. It's part American Resort course and part links in design (at least that's how I perceive it), which I find to be great.

I've played it a couple of times, got mixed views on it to be honest. There are a few really nice holes (the 3rd and 15th and the par 3 16th after that) but also quite a lot of very bland holes. Once all the young trees mature it could be quite a testing track.

I used to be a member here last year (2nd membership so not home club) and have to admit it is a great course but the social side is terrible. Hardly anyone in the bar after and very much a course where people play in there social groups.

If you want a challenge try playing the Stiff Salver there in August. An open comp and not for the faint hearted at over 7000 yards.
