Well that's the monkey off my back, shame it wasn't at my course in a comp, but was still competitive golf. had a gross 86 (net 70 par 71) with 37 points (one blob, an ugly 8 on a par 5)

Just need to take that to my home course now and try and get a cut!! Drove the ball superbly, short game was not firing that well, so was really chuffed with 37, if i could have chipped and putted well, was an easy 40-44 point i think. 2 birdies, 7 pars i think..

trumpet blown, back to reality. Mrs R wasnt interested, so thought would share! LOL

Sounds to me like you have 2 options scooter

1) keep working on your game, sounds like the results are about to happen

or

2) get a new missus

Good luck either way ;)

I think option 1 is the best bet, have been working so hard on it, its been a real grind with limited results, but just in time for winter its beginning to work! Reckon i hit 10/14 fairways and only missed one par 3 green. Thats been my Achilles heel of late, getting to the green! My wedges and putter have been saving me from cricket scores!

well played shame about the snowman but still good scoring

maybe its the new course as reading the huge scores thread it appears you like DVGC..... :D

Mrs M has similar interest in my golf!

Congrats mate good to get the monkey off the back and good to see the hard work paying off, hopefully you can sneak a cut in before the end of the season.

Mrs D actually had a look at a video of my before and after swing from my range session today - I've only played for about 16 years - a first for everything

Well done Rooter my boy!

thanks guys, the wheels are going to quickly come off though, start a new job in a few weeks and working from home is going to be less. Going to be in London at least 3 times a week.. And to make things worse, I am now going to have to miss H4H day. Gutted, but my first day of my new job, i need to be in Seattle so going to have to start travelling on Monday of H4H day. My guests are still coming, they both played last year, plus will get them to bring my items for the auction etc. Hey ho, sometimes golf has to come second in life apparently...

Seattle is a long old trip but great when you get there enjoy some free time if you can bedore the new job.
And watch out for the odd boeing or 3 trundling along the railroad!
