I sent my beautifiul ping irons back to ping a few weeks ago (4) as the finish on the heads was peeling off (anyone had that problem before???) anyway they got back to the pro fairly quickly and said i needed a new set as they where unfixable. It was going to take about 2 weeks to get the shafts etc now 4 weeks on no irons. boiling

So took it on myself over the pro and emailed ping and what a service an email back immediately and a wonderful response, irons sorted and into the post 1st thing next week. The guy had to bend over backwards to get the KBS X Stiff from the tour department. Regardless of what had went on before when i contacted ping they could not have been anymore helpful.

Sorry if a little long winded but thought i would share.

That's why I'm Ping4life.

There customer service is second to none. I love how you can just give Ping the serial number off an iron and bang bang you get an exact replacement or the additional wedges the exact same spec as you set of irons without any quibble or problem.

Great result.

TBH i have been thinking about going all ping after watching westwood at loch lomond last year as all there equiment looks good and plays well. As you say just give them a ring and they will sort it all out for you.

excellent sercvice.

Hmm, smacks of the plastic golf trolley people. Junk product that falls apart, but excellent customer service to fix it. No sale here.

Good to hear despite the cynicism of murph. I've not heard of the original problem although the Ping brigade will be able to tell you (probably in the morning as its cocoa time for the old timers) if it is a known fault

Can't comment on the customer service. 15 years, 3 sets of clubs, never needed to use it yet.

I have had 3 sets and the only problem is with my Tour W wedge. I hit a stone in a bunker and a small part of the face chipped, Ping had a new one back at my pro's within the week. Can't say better than that, they could have just said "tough you hit the stone".

What went wrong with the previous 2 sets then?? :p :p

Wore out the sweet spots, figured it was my fault not Ping's.

Seriously, still use the Eye2 lob wedge and 2 iron and i5 wedge. And ad the G15s were free it would have been rude to say no.
