Ping Putter Opportunity

For the right club surely it has to be worth it?

I drove from Leicester to Bournemouth a couple of years ago for a similar opportunity, just because I believed it might make a serious difference to my game rather than just being a chance to grab some free gear.

I actually spent more on petrol than the club was worth, but my handicap went from 10 to 8 within a month of getting it and I finished the season on 7.

Jus' sayin'.

Is the reason I would love to win and get fitted for putter.
Worth a lot just to be able to ask a putter expert all those little questions I have...???

Just found out from work that I'm not allowed to have the 16th off as we are exhibiting at a trade show so it's all hands on deck.

That's nothing, I have said I can't go to my Grandmas funeral and daughters graduation ceremony that are both on that day on the off chance I get picked. That's how confident/naive/desperate/stupid I am.

My comment was aimed at the fact that these opportunities lie in the South of the land.

Now I believe that Birmingham is 'the south' from where I am in Leeds, just like 'The North' is anything above the Watford Gap for those down there. I can't even imagine how few opportunities are presented to those in Scotland. I understand that the manufacturers are based down there and it makes sense to them to keep things local (even though Ping is in Gainsborough?).

I would absolutely love to be fitted for a Ping putter which could help my game but would not be prepared to travel those sorts of distances. I will, however, have a look at the Ping range when I am on the forum meet in July and see if they can make a difference.

I don't think that that amount of travel is worth it for a putter. As I said, I will have a look at the range when I am at their HQ in July.

Thats up to you, but to be fair it's a bit more than just a free putter.

Thank god for smartphones. Cannot access emails at work and that would drive me up the wall

The Taylormade and the footjoy opportunities that we have had recently would have been nice, but this putter opportunity really is the one that could help my handicap come down. But like the rest I will be eagerly waiting for an Email to come through, or find out on here who lucky few are.

Never have and never will understand why people always seem to blame their equipment, rather than taking responsibility themself.
