Hi, has anybody heard if Ping are pulling the plug on there custom fitting centre up at St Andrews

Yep they definately are, heard that a cuouple of days ago. They have outgrown the St Andrews centre and need a much bigger place of their own to accomodate the volume of requests they are getting at moment. Rumour'd new site will be in central belt.

Yip, sadly true but the new place promises to be awesome according to my pro who is heavily into his Ping. They may also be looking at a golf course to go with the fitting centre, watch this space!

The thing is, it's not really Ping who have a fitting centre as such. It's St.Andrews Links who have a fitting centre and Ping and Callaway use it to fit their clubs.
So what is moving exactly? Are Ping taking their business away from the St.Andrews fitting centre and building their own place? Or is The St.Andrews fitting centre closing completely?
As some might remember, I was there recently getting fitted for my G10 and had to wait about 6 weeks for an appointment.

I STAY IN ST.ANDREWS AND I HAVE A MATE THAT WORKS AT THE FITTING CENTRE,PING ARE PULLING OUT AND GOING BACK TO THE "DEMO VDAYS" ...I HAVEN`T HEARD ABOUT A CENTRAL BELT FITTIN CENTRE ..I ALSO THINK THAT IT`S A COST ISSUE AS PING I`LL HAVE TO PAY FOR FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL FITTING !
