Phone Geeks???

New 'phone arrives today.
Is there an easy, (and preferably free), way to transfer all of my photo's etc. over from my old 'phone to the new one other than Bluetooth??
I've had a look at a couple of applications, but they are just trial versions...
Old phone is a Huawei. new phone is a Samsung (don't know if that makes a difference).

Samsung have their own app to help you, its called Smart Switch. Did mine from LG to Samsung a few weeks back, bit of a doddle with the app

IIRC load Samsung Smart Switch app onto your Huawei and run it following on screen instructions it'll back up to cloud or card (I used card) then move storage card to new phone when ready and load smart switch on there too if not already pre-installed, run it and load everything from card onto new phone

The only thing I didn't get transferred successfully was my whatsapp history (mainly because I don't back that up anywhere) but everything else came over fine

Yeah I was going to say, I actually went from Huawei to a Samsung as well, and once I logged in with my Google email and that it basically switched all the apps and stuff over for me, even some of the photos as well, and some contacts. Was pretty foolproof really.

Ermm. Plug old phone into computer, copy across. Prune unwanted photos as necessary. Plug new phone into computer, copy across. Easy peasy and you have a full backup.

Only wanted to transfer photos. No music on the old phone and my contacts are on my sim ;-)
