Sure the Hadron Colloider does important things but as I sip yet another cup of Blackcurrent Lemsip, surely the blokes who came up with the idea of flavoured paracetamol in warm water deserve a Nobel prize..

The person who invented the tea bag. Before then you need a tea pot, tea strainer etc. No funny looks going through customs with tea bags in your suitcase, not sure if it would be the same if you were carrying a small bag of loose tea leaves.

The tea bag makes life simpler.
