Can't set this up on IG, getting a message that Par / Bogey competitions are for individual play only. Would welcome any comments before referring to IG. Thanks.

We use Handicapmaster. Looking on their manual, Pairs BB Bogey is not supported, singles only.

Didn’t think you could have 4BBB/Pairs Par bogey comps ? Always thought a Par Comp was singles against the course

We occasionally run a Team Bogey, but it's a bit brutal. ++-- is a half for the team, +0-- is a loss for the team, and so on.

Appendix F in the CONGU manual seems to recognise they are played

Par/Bogey
Singles - Full handicap
Foursomes - 1/2 combined handicap of partners
Four-ball - Each partner receives 90% of full handicap
(better ball)

Stableford
Singles - Full handicap
Foursomes - 1/2 combined handicap of partners
Four-ball - Each partner receives 90% of full handicap
(better ball)

Strange that the best 2 ISPs don't support them.

Probably because anyone who knows anything about golf never uses the word 'pairs' when describing a golf competition.
Wow, I didn't know that! Naturally I was curious about this so checked a few websites and, you are right !, the word 'pairs' doesn't seem to appear in the R&A, England Golf, Scottish Golf or Congu websites.
Thank you for pointing this out. I will just refer to singles, four-ball and foursomes in future. Please ignore the word 'pairs' in the thread title.
Obviously I fail to qualify as someone who knows anything about golf, so please accept my apologies for my stupidity and ignorance in asking what I considered to be a reasonable question.
All you need to do now is inform all the golf clubs advertising "Pairs" Opens on the Scottish Golf website and Golf Empire website, that they too, don't "know anything about golf".
