Just got in from playing our monthly stableford, having never broken 90(at home course) i shot an 89 with 39 points which puts me in 2nd place! To say im chuffed is an understatement, having shot 87 on wednesday at what i would consider a harder course then todays round. The strange thing was i scored 20 points on the front 9 when it was chucking down and 19 on the back when the sun came out! What a great game(at the moment!!!)

Well done for breaking the magical 90 barrier especially in a competitive environment and for sucha good showing. It sounds like with your midweek score you've hit a purple patch. I hope it continues for as long as possible

That's excellent. Well done to you. Where'd you do it?

For some reason, I think I enjoyed my first 89 more than my first 79. Having said that, 99 was pretty cool too.

It's good to hear a story of not wrecking a good front 9 holes with a disaster back 9.

Cheers homer,i do seem to have pulled parts of my game together recentley so things are happening in the same round!! Thing is ive had an 86,87+88 in last few months-just not on my track.suppose being off whites in a comp its a better acheivement mind!

True dave, the amount of times ive had a 43 or 44 front 9 then late 40's even 50's back 9  I had 44 front and 45 back today, chipped in for birdie on 8(par 3)which wins me some balls! And birdied the par 5 17th,so all in all a sound day!!
