Went out for a few holes last night and decided to take my old, old Mizuno MP600 for a hit.

Went like a rocket better than i remember it, not been used for at least 4 years, back in the bag for this weekends County Champs.

it has the old heavy-er pro launch red shaft, which i always struggled to get the best out of tbh.

with all this new gear hype, anyone else still using, or gone back to old gear?

I have 10 year old callway driver which performs as well as my R11s, also some 1970s blades that my 22 hdcp friend used to shoot one of his best ever rounds.....

I have sidelined the 913D for a few months now and gone back to the 909D, it may be a mental thing, the 909 is so safe for me. Anyhow the 913 is going to get another shot this week and if its not nice to use I shall bin it.

PS before opening the post I was sure you would have gone back to an old putter....

Just put my Seemore putter back in the bag and can't for the life of me remember why I ever took it out!! Seems very nostalgic too with the US Open being back at Pinehurst and Payne Stewart using his to win there in 99 which prompted me to buy it in the first place.

Ditched the AP2's and went back to the Adams............................for now.

Also ditched the Scotty for my Seemore also...............................for now.

Did the MP600 introduce the Slider Rail for Draw/Fade bias? I know it was quite a leap in performance for them!

Nothing wrong with going retro to get results. I still put my Ping Anser (c1983) putter in the bag and it still works. Going to have to bite the bullet one day and keep it in for good again

I had a bash with an old 10 degree big bertha the other day, hit similar distance to my current driver

Also just picked up an old ping rapture big headed 3 wood as an option off the tee (not hit it yet)
