When you can get a perfectly good shirt for £15-£20 it does make you wonder how much disposable income some people have and why they don't give it to me instead!!

Poulters gear is excellent quality.

Trousers are just the best in looks and style.

I'd class the shirts as quite expensive for something that can only really be worn for golf. I'd definitely pay £40 for a sweater or £55 for a pair of good quality trousers though.

I wouldn't buy Poulter's stuff because its a bit flash for me, but I like good quality clothing be it for golf or everyday wear - price is often confused as being a barometer of quality which isn't always the case.

M&S do some good quality merino wool sweaters and pima cotton polo shirts for reasonable money for instance, and I'm throwing some of my dearer Galvin Green t-shirts due to the low-grade man-made materials.

I spend a fair amount on my clobber for golf, but then I like to look smart (in my eyes). If others think that a £5 polo from Matalan looks smart on them, then fine. It's just not for me.

I get my Lindeberg gear @ trade so the trousers are about £45, jumpers similar and t-shirts £27ish. Retail price of £60 or so for a pair of trousers is ok by me if I like them.

i agree its a bit steep, i tend to buy my golf clobber from silvermere, because their range is so big they always have a clearence sale on. last year i popped over mid summer to get some shorts and ended up with:

2 pairs Ashworth trousers @ £60.00 (£120.00)
1 Pair Ashworth Shorts @ £49.00
should have been £169.00
I paid £55.00

also had some mega bargins on callaway lambswool jumpers, were £60 each i think, and i got 2 for £50.00

Not a fan of much of his clobber. I think he looks OK in it but I think I'd just look an idiot and my golf does that for my without spending a fortune on clothes
Good post :D
I prefer Ebay to buy what everyone else is getting rid off for a couple of quid ;)
