I just stepped out of my office this morning and met a whole loada heroes on the back of trucks just on the street outside! These people are incredible.
As they waited to start the parade, I was able to congratulate and shake hands with our Olympians, people who have reached the very pinnacle of their chosen career.
Being good enough in sport to represent anything was a dream for me. I'm not even the best at my chosen sport in my road!!
On a separate note, the parade was very British, very understated. I think people who had travelled a long way to see their heroes may have been a bit disappointed with 1 Coldstream Band and 8 or 9 flat-bed lorries, even if those lorries had lots of gold on the back of them.
