Oh to be out there again today!

Beautiful day down here....must be the best of the year so far. Sun is out, very still. Hardly a breath of wind. Teeing off at 12.00 with Murph, Leftie and JustoneUK. Course should be in superb condition as we have hardly had any rain this week. Clubs are cleaned, scraped all the mud out of the grooves and they are sitting there looking at me, dying to be hit. I can sense 39 points coming on.... ;)

It was blowing a fair gale here today, the course is still a bit soft and our greens have been spiked. Hopefully by the first april the greens will be great again. 37 putts this morning, thats quite woeful!!

Wish i was heading out again to be honest. Enjoy your round lads

I think they are planning to do ours tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday so I've timed it about right with a bit of luck! Junior competition on this morning so I'm hoping the greens are in good nick. With no rain this week, they should have been able to get the mowers on 'em....fingers crossed.

Sadly for me. The wife is at work and I have a three year old and a one year old to look after. At least the F1 will keep me company later on.

Sounds familiar - except I've just got the one. And he's 8.

I know that the greens need to be done a couple of times a year....and i know now is the best time to do it....but still, its annoying. ha ha.

I was really hit and miss today, managed to squeeze a decent score out of it too (77). In a couple of years Im going to need to move clubs i think, go somewhere a bit longer, we seem to hit 9 iron or wedge (or gap W) into a lot of greens. Even on the par 5's we end up doing that as on 3 (from 4) the water or dog leg keep you from banging two good shots at the green and your laying up all the time.

Has anyone played The Hearsal Golf Club in Coventry? Its practically on my doorstep but i've never been.

Day off tomorrow so a nice long lie in, up to the club to work on my chipping (there isn't really enough hours in the day to get it sorted), early lunch before the seniors get back in and then a leisurely round
