Looking for a bit of advice about where to go this year. Can't go away in the summer hols so we're having to look at October half term instead (21st-).
We want to go somewhere thats still a good (hot) temperature, but thats not a silly flying time away or costs megabucks.
We've done Turkey a couple of times so don't want to go there again really, I'm tempted by southern Greece, Crete/Rhodes maybe, or Cyprus we aslo like the look of. Does anyone know what the weather is likely to be like that time of year. or have any other suggestions?

We were in southern Spain for the last October half term. The weather was good, and even the photo's we've just received from our neighbours over there show them having Christmas Day and New Years Day lunches outside.

It was upper 20's last Oct and, allegedly, cooler than usual. But still hot enough for just swim shorts, and spending the day around the pool.

Richart was also out there then, although right down on the south coast.

If you're looking for somewhere a little quieter and cheaper, fly into Almeria airport and head north to Mojacar Playa - about 40 mins. Its rarely visited by northern Europeans, and is mega cheap, e.g. we pay €1 a coffee in the local coffee shop and a meal for two with (several)drinks comes out at €12.

Another vote for The Canaries. There are some awful touristy places to avoid, but there are also some lovely resorts and the weather will be fine that time of year.

We had stunning weather very end of October, beginning of November in Estepona, Costa Del Sol. 14 days of warm sun, average 24 degrees. Great for beach and golf. Estepona is a proper Spanish town.

I am hopefully going back this October, last two weeks. Set of clubs over there, so if anyone around I would be up for a game.
