Our club uses both noticeboards and email notification for important items.

It is noticeable that many people do not read either. Do you read yours?

Our club doesn't use email for announcements. For really important stuff you get a letter via snail mail, everything else is put up on the noticeboard at the club. For tee times they send you an sms if you leave your mobile number with the office. I try to read all of it, simply because I hate it when I miss out on something.

I do, but its very evident that illiteracy is rife in my club, judging by the stickers put on the rake handles left in every bunker instructing where the rake should be left.

Everything is done by Email and the website is kept up to date. There is a notice board by our coffee point but that only displays social notices (that also come round by Email and on the website). The notice boards in the changing rooms show the progress of all the knockout comps and comp results.

Our club doesn't email so it is noticeboard only. I've just joined the committee and they don't understand why people are not seeing items pinned on there. I have tried to explain about the joy of modern technology but so far the faces are not enthusiastic

the notice board juts has results and entry sheets. Other info is sent out by Email

Our club sec emails us regularly, I always read them. Handicap changes and tee-off times are done via Howdidido so they generate emails as well, which I obviously read. I look at the website for the list of fixtures. Don't think I've ever once looked at a noticeboard. Not even sure where it is.

Reminds me of the old poster, 'If you notice his notice you will notice that this notice was not worth noticing'

100% email, no noticeboards (being nomadic we don't have a wall to put one on)

We use both. People still seem to miss information and I'd love to see the club using FB and twitter and other social media platforms more to get out to the members but that's not my call nor likely to happen soon. I tend to use emails and the club website and it works well enough for me
