Middle of the summer, course looking immaculate, 2 Club Matchplay rounds next week,........and my game starts to get littered with attacks from Sherman Tanks.......(I refuse to say the word)

Just where the feck do the come from, and more importantly, how the feck do I get rid of 'em........!!??

Easy to say, but don't panic.
Address the ball as normal, step back from the ball an inch and try and keep your lower half quiet.
I know, I forget myself sometimes as those lucky people at Blackmoor will testify :(
However, I went out the next day and shot level par so that proves they can be beaten. Good luck and don't despair

That sounds promising........thx Bob.

I think I'll leave the Medal alone on Sat am, and head to the practice round for an hour or 2 instead !

Let you know how I get on.

I haven't hit one in a good few rounds now but still think about them, I think the only way to ease the pressure is to go and hit A LOT of half shots/short irons until you have worked up a little confidence again, disregard direction, as long as the connection is there. I intend to tonight!
I am paralysing my short game having to hit compromise shots where I would normally score better with pitches, always taking the easiest way out of possibly hitting a shot and shanking it. Interestingly while I was shanking it, I was still making buffer or better. At the moment I am struggling but hitting buffer.
