The decision by referee's assistant in the MC v LFC match.

This, I'm afraid to say, is what makes me more and more convinced that corruption is rife in all pro sports.
To a larger or smaller extent, it is clear that there is just no way that experienced professionals can get things that wrong on so regular a basis.

Sorry, Preet, what do you mean?

Its human error mate. Think how many offside calls or fouls they have to think about in a game. Surely they are not going to have a clear view or be fully looking at the incident every time.

The problem with technology in football is, where do you stop?

Sterling was clearly onside - times his run brilliantly - poor decision and these decisions cost teams money and points

Great game though and we had our chances

Watched Arsenal v Chelsea... Must say the ref was Chelsea's best striker.... Some of the decisions were shocking

Funny how most fans only complain about bad decisions when it affects their team yet they have the cheek to try to imply that their concern is for the greater good of football.

So Liverpool fans, were you disgusted earlier today when Hull City scored as a direct result from a corner that should never have been given? Did you all rush to radio phone-ins to complain about the standard of refereeing when Suarez handled the ball into the net in the FA Cup game last year? Were you horrified when Carragher sliced open Nani's knee with a terrible challenge yet only received a yellow card last season?

No.....didn't think so

Mistakes are part and parcel of the game, and anyone who seriously believes it's anything else other than human error really does need to get a grip. The refs and linesmen/women have a split second to make a decision based on what they see at the time and they do in my opinion do it to the best of their ability. Poor decisions have always been part of the game but now we have Sky highlighting them and replaying them over and over again.

As for technology in football, as long as it's introduced to every league club in the country then yes go for it or do the supporters of big clubs not think that clubs in the lower leagues deserve correct decisions. Winning the 2nd division is as important to a club such as say Rochdale and it's fans as it is to Liverpool, United and the others winning the Premiership.

Well I haven't got a clue what happened to Hull today so not sure what I should be "disgusted" about.

Suarez goal from the handball shouldn't have stood and Carra should have been sent off

As I said - ref mistakes costs teams point and money and could cost people their jobs.

Not sure where you get the idea that only the big teams deserve the correct decisions - every team does regardless of what league they compete

Treading very carefully with this one coz I watched the game and the first 45 mins were the best half of football I have seen this year. I was gonna post a topic on this at half time but decided against it.
anyway where has Liverpools form come from this year as no one saw this coming. Old Brendon's has got Liverpool organised and they were the best team Man city have faced all season.
Re the result, I get fed up of going to work and discussing bad decisions before certain aspects of a game, including the result.
I said to Missis tash a draw would of been a fair result. The difference being down to one bad goalie error and a bit of slack finishing from Liverpool.
As a City fan I was glad to hear the final whistle.
last point is where do Liverpool go from here! This is the best chance for a good few years for them to get in the top four and champions league. Do they spend and have they got owt to spend.

I didn't say only big teams deserve the correct decisions, read the post properly before commenting on it.

But it seems the FA do, introducing Hawkeye Goal Line technology to the Premiership while the rest of the lower league teams have to just carry on as usual.

Mistakes are part and parcel of the game, get on with it and stop complaining as your team will benefit from them as much as they go against you.

The Touchline technology is currently on trial and they are using the prem as the trial

If successful then it will spread to all teams if accepted by the games governing body

You came storming in having a dig about big teams fans etc - not sure why tbh but it seems clear you are a lower league team fan and have a bee in your bonnet about the big teams for some reason

I've seen several Premiership refs live this season and, between them and their assistants, I am amazed at what they miss in games that everyone else in the stadium sees clearly. Sometimes I wonder whether they really are just mistakes!

20+ thousand see a push/ handball / foul etc eat and they apparently don't. I do, however, think that they are equally crap and not generally biased towards either side. The problem for me is that most officials have not actually played the game to any reasonable level

Did I??

I said I'm all for technology being used as long as it's spread throughout the leagues and not just to suit the big clubs

Yes I'm a fan of a smaller club but certainly no bee in my bonnet and if you class that as storming in then you really are a sensitive little soul aren't you

Not sensitive but you started your post having a pop at Liverpoll fans because we weren't happy with the linesman today making a mistake

You started drivelling on about Hull and past incidents then bleating on about lower clubs

And the governing bodies have already suggested that when any technology is brought into the game full time it will be throughout the leagues and not just the "big clubs"

Get over it. Sterling was obviously onside, but Liverpool get plenty of decisions in their favour. Will you feel the need to start a thread when the ref makes a decision that favours Liverpool???

What is the problem here ? Someone is having a moan at poor refs/linesman decisions

If people have a problem with that then ignore the thread and don't bother replying - thought it would be quite simple
