Golfing like its 1999!

I do sometimes wonder if I had my old clubs back from the 90's, just how much different would I play. If I could choose a set from what I had back then it would be my TM Ti Bubble II Driver, Mizuno T-zoid 3w (green headed one), Mizuno T-Zoid ProII irons 2-PW, Can't remember the model of my wedges, but they were Wilson Staff and I still have my Copper headed PING ZING putter.

I really do not think that my scores would be much different, but it would be interesting to find out one day.
Ok heres mine from around the end of the 90's :)
Cobra ti driver
Progen 3 wood
Taylormade LCG 3-sw
Ping anser putter

And this set up got me my lowest ever round!!
I was taking to a local pro recently who played on the European tour back in the day,his current bag is mainly made up of equipment circa 1991!.

My kind of thread!

My set is a bit earlier than the nineties (I'd guess somewhere between the late 1960s to 1980s?) but still picked up for nowt from ebay.
Used them quite a bit playing evening rounds over the summer and of course there was the Old School Challenge we played earlier in the year.
A couple of changes since the picture below, putter swapped and woods changed.

I love playing the clubs and have an earlier set also from the bay which I'd guess are 1930s but these need some work doing before I can take the set out on the course.
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 & 8 irons, and two unnumbered woods, all JH Taylor "Cynosure" plus the putter as listed in signature below.

My bag from the 90s
driver GBB titianium 8 degrees firm shaft
3w was a T Zoid strong in stiff
5w was a titleist DTR ( unusual to have one of these in the bag ... lots of stick for having it)
3-PW Mizuno Tp 18s, then Ping Zing 2
Mizuno SW 56 degrees (gold head forged)
taylor made ROHO full mallet
Titleist 100 compression balatas/ or professional

lowest score 65. Handicap was 3.8.

Lent the Zings out and never got them back 😕

I remember buying a set of tanaka irons, and also had a 1/3/5 wood of adams woods, when I think Adams first formed (is that correct). They were really small in height.

I also bought a diamond faced driver from the USA - snake oil.:D
