Report below!

16 brave golfers agreed to this meet at Caldy golf club despite it being November and boy it didn’t disappoint! The weather from start to finish was fantastic and it was a huge relief considering the battering we have had with the weather this year. The course was in good nick especially with the weather recently and even the wind was pretty kind to us on the day.

Caldy golf club is a lovely course situated on the Wirral peninsula. It has a mixture of parkland and links holes which provides a nice balanced test for golfers. The holes along the river Dee were particularly picturesque and made for great views. The rough was very penal and it was wrist break territory to get it out of the stuff so anybody offline was severely punished. The greens were in lovely condition and the some of the pins were in clever places which fooled a few people with the quick breaks.

The results saw Junior win another forum meet prize coming first in the Nett , he always brings his game to these events! I managed to sneak in front of Gregbwfc on card playoff for 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] prize in the nett with a 72. The stableford prizes saw Qwerty take away 1[SUP]st[/SUP] prize with a cracking 38 points and Stu_C nipped in for 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] prize ahead of Gregbwfc on card playoff again and Stu managed to add the nearest pin prize on the 17[SUP]th[/SUP] to that as well.

Thanks to my playing partners on the day Liverbirdie, Thepodgster & Gregbwfc who unluckily lost out two card playoffs! Thanks to all who attended and made it a success.

Birchy,

Thanks for a fantastic day rounded off with superb company in Scot, Andy and Pete.

Glad to see Pete got to the match in time to see the Toon score and Liverpool playing beautiful football (no long game) to score the equaliser!

Unlucky Andy on the playoffs.

Cheers
