Looking at booking our annual golf society trip and fancy the North East area around possibly Whitby/Scarborough. 2 different courses, bed, breakfast, evening meal. Hotel resort would be fine or hire of a cottage etc. Would prefer to not drive a big distance between accomodation and the round on Monday.

Any help on the above, suggestions of stay, courses etc or even companies that do everything rather than me doing it all.

Did a weekend at Slayley hall recently played one course each day , really enjoyed it , nice place ,great courses (bit breezy though when we were there ) and not a bad hotel with a good restaurant .
Cuts out the driving between venues, and if you ring them you can sometimes get a bit of a good deal .

Played Filey today. Lovely course, really enjoyable. Have also played Scarborough North Cliff and Bridlington Belvedere which are both nice courses, and only 20 minutes drive from Filey. Loads of reasonably priced accommodation in Scarborough and Brid.

Did it a few years ago & Hornsea & Scarbro Southcliiff would be the best of the bunch though they're all very good value utilising many of the 'East-coast Hotels of an age gone bye'..... so not many chances of A big Knees-up.
Hope you're keeping well, matey. (y)(y) Some years since we did that Cleveland trip, isn't it... all the best.

Rockcliffe Hall, has Eaglescliffe, Dinsdale and both Darlington courses on its doorstep as well as Catterick, Bedale, Normanby, Brass Castle and Middlesbrough just a short drive away.

Scarborough south cliff and Ganton. Maybe add in Malton and Norton.

If you want somewhere with some nightlife, base yourself in York and do the York courses.

If you want something a little further south, Brid, Filey and Flamborough Head.

It is mate, great day. Are you still at Wike Ridge? We'll have to meet up.

Thanks for the link, I'll have a look.
