A guy gave me a Nike something or other on Friday night, he told me it was as good if not better than Pro v's. Ok what the hell, I thought. I gave it a go yesterday, yep very impressed, It seemed to go further than my normal Pro V. I was hitting a club less. So I'm going to find out which ball it was and buy some. I would look the only thing is I got to our 16th with a river running across it and the Nike said BYE BYE. That was the difference I hit my normal tee shot off the 16th tee, where I normally wouldn't reach that part of the river, but I did with the Nike. The ball didn't skuff either, the way Pro V's skuff. I'm very impressed with this ball, so I will let you all know which ball it was. There could be a switch in the offing.

Was it the Nike One which I think is there top end make. I got some courtesy of GM and they are a little harder than a Pro V but probably 5 yards longer. What you got on distance I lost on puting as it was hot off my TM Rossa's facet

Any Nike ball I've tried has cut and chewed up faster than a dog eating fillet steak!

Not sure which ball it was, I know it wasn't the Nike One. No it didn't cutt/skuff, I played 15 holes with it and was level par. As for putting with it I found it to be just as good if not better than the Pro V's. I noticed a few times, difference in lenth, ie, my drive at 16 and an 8 iron I hit at our 15th plus a few others.
I shall find out and let you know which ball it was!

was it possibly the tour d balls? they are nikes pro v1 i think and have been marketed as longer than pro v. they sell them at the gc. Havenot used them personally though.

I know you've lost it now....but you're telling me you don't know what was written down the side of it after looking at at least 30 times?? It was white wasn't it?

I lost it long ago.lol I didnt think it would of been that good of a ball, I just cant remember what was written down the side. Yes it was white. I did ask our Pro about it before I played with it and he told me he didn't know much about this type, he did show me the nike one ball, thats how I know it wasn't one of those.

I got hold of a dozen nike one platinum a few weeks back and put them into play yesterday...

I know it's a previous generation ball, but it's suuperb. I'll keep playing them for a while and see how it goes.

Long of the tee, really nice around the greens and putting. Cracking ball.

I found a Nike tour accuracy in Fl. Really nice ball. Had everything and anything you could want from a ball. I would change to it tomorrow.

If Nike gave them to me for free.

One hit with a wedge, and it was totally shredded.

I had a nice stroll around our couse on Sunday with a Nike Soft something or other. Lovely thing hardly any side spin off the tee, rolled up to the hole and stopped when putting. I had a pleasant mornings golf (for once). It's coming with me this afternoon. If it does the same then I think I will get it a few mates! :D

The previous owner had accurately left it 6ft short of the green in a pond. Given the pond was smaller than the green, did that not take more accuracy than hitting the green?

Ok, maybe not ponds and bunkers but trees, yes. If I am hitting a low punch out of the woods, and there is one tree in the way, about 20 yards in front of me, I will aim at it. If I don't, I can guarantee to hit it dead centre every time.

I tried the Nike one plat last year very good ball I just didn't like putting with it, but they do have a new ball out this year which may be better and worth a try.
