Nick Dougherty To put away the clubs

Good luck to him. Seems like a nice fella. I think he is getting better and better as a pundit. I like him and David Howell a lot. Wayne Riley and Coltart on the course are superb and I find that if the golf is on in the background, I always stop what im doing to listen when they are talking.

Joon, agree 100% bud. Radar is excellent as are Coltart, Beem and Howell. Back to Dougherty , he seems to be a natural broadcaster and there to stay... what happens though if he does an Oli Wilson and wins this week ????

They should build a new team for golf around him , Beem , Coltart and Howell ( when available ) - replace people like Holmes and Pugh with young coaches like Harmon - get rid of the Critchley , Murray and Roe plus of course limit Monty on there. Would like to see JP Morgan on the course during ET events - was really good on the Euro Pro
That bit about Morgan is clearly a joke?

I like Nick Dougherty and what I've seen of him presenting, he's taken to it pretty well and will only improve. I don't think it works when he is paired with his wife and I think her star is definitely on the wane. Sky seem to have a big pool of pundits now, and it's hard to see where they are all going to fit. Sadly they seem to think Monty is a big draw (no idea why) but compared to Harmon who I could listen to all day he's a dullard (but several on here have made that point once or twice before). I like Beem and he's coming into his own, Radar is great (in my opinion). I like Boxall too and having spoken with him a few times recently in our local pub/restaurant, he's a very funny guy who knows his stuff.

It proves how hard it is at the very top level and for a while it seemed Dougherty was going to be one of the next generation of top British players and it's hard to work out exactly where it went wrong. I've seen the links diary programme and it's very insightful. I hope he plays well in his last event and goes on to have a decent career in broadcasting or whatever he elects to do

He has said the even if he wins that's it....

Ended up +1 and currently in a tie for 90th; I think he'll be going out quietly!! :D

Back on topic though, I really like him as a presenter and believe he will only get better. Would like to see Sky utilise David Howell more as well. Other than that, pretty much agree with the thoughts of others on Sky's pundits - some very good; some very bland; and then there's Mark Roe!!! :D

I'm a big fan of Andrew Cotter so would like to see him at Sky covering golf.

Perhaps the way forward for Sky is introducing 'Fan Zone' for their golf coverage, made up entirely of Forum Members!!

This is what makes this place so interesting. I can't stand Cotter personally and would keep Roe over him. All about opinions!!!

Indeed........just a shame that yours on this is completely wrong!!!! ;) :D :D

He's hanging on in there but it's more likely that he'll be wearing make-up on Sunday rather than a Tammy!

As for Westwood ... No shame from that guy and I wonder how he'll describe that 82 to his new young girlfriend, she'll be hoping that those adverts are a good earner!

R3 and he's out on Carnoustie, there's a glimmer of hope for him and it would be good to see him make the cut.

Just a thought ... If he makes the cut he could then retire (tomorrow) doing the farewell wave from the Swilken Bridge like Big Jack, how cool would that be for him? Would he get his face on a Fiver though?
