He just rambled on about how the all big names he had met or played with were amazing, fabulous, brilliant ...It was really cool to play with each one of them and how well he had played when with them. He also listed all his wonderful achievements. He may have mentioned how many GCSEs he had but I was probably asleep at that point.
No insights into the big boys, no background stories, no gossip and no jokes.
My table was by the county team and the boys county team. Half the time they were chatting amongst themselves.

Haven't been back to Bootle for decades.

In fairness I’d say those still in mainstream media jobs are always going to be more vanilla than others. You can’t go round telling stories on players and then expect them to cooperate when filming etc

Was the first course I ever played too.
Me too, still a regular (Once a fortnight at least)
IMO it’s miles better than all the other munis in the area. Shamefully underfunded. Has real potential.

fwiw, on the Sefton council website, they’re canvassing opinions on how best to go forward https://yourseftonyoursay.sefton.gov.uk/
Have a look if you’re local 👍🏻

Bootle is a great course and not that easy of the back pegs.

Played our works medals there .
With some money spent on it it would be a great course.

Doesn't match up to Billy Foster

Dull as ditch water.

Seemed to forget that he had been the caddy and not the player. Every story had been heard before, sometimes many times.
