New Wedges? What to get???

When trying wedges I highly recommend having a play with the Mizuno MP R12, I really love mine and get on with them more than my previous Vokeys.

I disagree, the vokeys were longer than the mpt10 that I use, the problem being that the cast vokeys had less fell that the softer forged mp wedges, wedges are about feel and the more feel the better. - try loads!

Gulp. I'm not good enough to tell :(

have had a 56 Nike VR-Vrev for about a year and used it with a MD and Cleveland.

However i binned of the Cleveland and MD (soon to be seen in the for sale section) and got a 52 and 60 VR-Vrev, to complete the set.

Absolutely cracking wedges, that were (unless i am talking out my bottom) marketed to rival the Cleveland and Titleset of the world.

Come with a S400 shaft and are soooooo soft for cast heads.

You can probably pick them up for 40 squid each from various retailers. Bargain IMO

Not to open a can of worms but.....................go get fitted and make sure you get the correct wedges to fit in with your irons. I got my MP-T4 fitted and it has made a huge difference. Some people say that it does not matter with wedges, but when you are 6'3 it is nice to have them that bit longer. I said the Mizzy earlier, but if I was going to get wedges I would go for either Mizuno, Vokey or Cleveland. Not really anything between any of them in my eyes, just a personal preference.

Anyone here tried Scor wedges (that is not a spelling mistake)

Mate at work got himself custom fitted (online) and ordered them in from the US

Really handsome clubs

Just buy Miura

Then write a thread about them

That's Normally quite interesting.........

Do not even start that one up. I bet if you got a Dunlop and a Miura and rubbed the writing off those flash Miura boys would not be able to tell the difference........................

Light touch paper and stand back.............

I have these. Nice versatile wedges available in every degree between low 40 and 60s. Good range of shafts and grips and very fast delivery with UPS. I got mine less than 48 hours after ordering.

Come on, a 25 handicap does not need buttery soft wedges to improve. He needs any wedges of various lofts and a lot of practice.

The first non-set wedge I bought was a £25 ben sayers 56. It does the exact same job as any 56 degree wedge. It just doesn't look quite as nice as a vokey  When he learns how wedges work and wants to do a little more than you standard chip/pitch shots, then it might be time to look into higher spec wedges.

Otherwise it just a waste.

These look very nice, never heard of them, must look into it

I was on there mailing list for a while and they emailed me at least once a day. A bit much! Really interesting product and pretty too.

This is going to sound strange but I have a feeling they have a workshop within a UPS depot in the us. They actually take the orders and put the clubs together in a workshop in the UPS depot and of course they are shipped out instantly.

I believe the idea came from the owner of Scor prior to its insertion while playing golf with the CEO of UPS.

Bit strange being custom fit "online" but no different to many other shops and fine if you have an idea what your after.

Right just spent the last hour doing their online fit and reading the wedge PDF along with other reviews etc their claims make very good sense (of course they would) but 120yds in is my weakest and I've been after suitable wedges for years, maybe this is it

Amazing. They even mock up tracking so they appear to originate in the US.
