I'm pretty sure that is for the far east market only. There was a plan to sell it in the US but I think they are going with the Tour Burner and 2009 Burner models as a reaction to the economic downturn in the US.

As far as I am aware the only thing released so far is the 2009 Burner and Tour model (plus the limited edition R7) and the TM rep I was with at the demo day was pretty sure it would be late 2009 before any new generation models were released.

The TM guy at the demo did mention the R9 as the next brand to supercede the Burner line. He couldn't be specific on dates but thinks it will be late 2009 possibly even this time next year. Personally I wouldn't be surprised to see some form of R9 out by the end of September to catch the end of the season

Looked at the site you posted and could hardly make head nor tail of it as it's all in hyroglyphics.

Really? Reads fine to me

Taylormade Japan introduces their new 2008 XR Iron. The XR lineup has long been a best seller in Japan among mid to higher handicappers based on forgiveness and ease of use. The new XR lineup features Taylormade's highest COR ever in an iron, achieve by an ultrathin 2mm maraging face. Deep and low center of gravity coupled with high MOI created by a hollow cavity allow for optimal weight distribution and lower CG placement. All this results in minimal distance loss on mis-hits as well as straight and long distance performance. The cavity also features a three tiered round cavity badge that enhances feel and sound. The XR line features lightweight GS75 steel shafts in the mid 80g range or XR Carbon shafts in the 55g range as upgrades. Both shafts are low kick shafts. Standard set includes 5-PW and AW and SW available at an extra cost.

The new 2008 XR line will be released in mid April so any orders before that will be considered pre-orders.

:D

I find Golfwrx is a bit too technical, and as such boring. I don't really care about all the minutiae that gets talked about.

The Sandtrap is better, but too many long signatures, and too big avatars. Means you only get about 3 posts per page.

Todays golfer is just dull.

Golf magic used to be ok, but haven't been on it for a while.
