The only thing that separates Arsenal from trophies is Wenger's philosophy, spending money on a decent keeper, two strong centre halves, two ball winning midfielders and a decent 20+ goals a season striker.

Surely the message that all top players are leaving is an indication that things just aren't right?

Fabregas was always going back to Barcelona - only a deluded fool would have thought otherwise.

It's good that the top 4 is changing - it's good for the league and for the neutral fans.

From what I saw last week they had enough fight..

I think the only people who can call for Wenger to be replaced are Arsenal fans.

From what I've heard, the Arsenal fans are more than happy for Wenger to stay.

I, for one, agree with them.

Keep sticking that head in the sand.

I have said it for a long while now Wenger is finished and anyone thinking he is doing a great job needs looked at.

The board have said there is money to spend (def has to be once you have netted the £60 plus million from selling your 2 best players!) yet he decides to let the club fall behind their rivals.

6th place at best for them this year.

Pardew to replace him,he'll be manager of the year this season.

Aside from that did anyone see the Makems number 1??
That was one dreadful display,Gordon has to get his place back even if he is only 1% fit!

Oh dear, two games in and I've got that old Fulham feeling back. A Europa run on a threadbare squad will have its implications come January and February and I can see a long relegation fight ahead. No-one said being a Fulham fan was easy!

Try being an everton fan, small squad, not a penny to spend, big clubs sniffing round half your team and it wouldn't surprise me I'd they after the manager aswell.

I'll happily take a top half finish this season.

I agree that their squad is weaker this year and they will struggle in the league.

But...

Wenger runs the club very well. He never spends more than he should for a player and has an excellent track record of finding excellent young players and those players who's careers have stalled (Henry, etc).

Wenger's one of the best managers in the Premier League - end of. His teams play exquisite football - football that, as a Palace fan, I can only dream of my boys playing.

Well said that man. Wenger is still the man for the job. Yes 6 years without a trophy but we're still there competing for honours year on year despite what the doom mongers say.


IMHO if Vermalaen stayed fit last year we would have won something - we really missed him.

We need to strengthen and I have no doubt that in the next week you will see Wenger sign a couple of players especially if we lose Nasri. Wenger is a great manager but in recent years he hasnt had a lot of luck but hopefully that will change soon.

I think Everton will be OK, they pretty much kept the squad together and have a top manager so top half of the table for me. Cant believe that they cant afford at least 1 new player though.
