After Evertons game being postponed last week i thought the extra week off would do us some good but obviously not.

From what i heard of the game it was the same old story, plenty of possesion and chances but just aint got the firepower up front to score.

I really don't want us to sell but i really think we may have to so we can bring in a proven goal scorer.

It's going to be a looooong season.

We were dreadful Bozza, at one point we had 6 midfielders on and no striker, despite being 1 nil down. Best player was the young kid Barkley who at least was trying to have a go.

Nobody is going to buy us, and to be faire if I had a spare 300 million the last thing I'd be doing is putting it into the pocket of footballers, so we've got to bite the bullet and sell some of the big players while they're still worth anything.

Kenwright said this week we have an 80 million income and 85 million bill each year, the bank wont lend anymore and nobody is buying us, so take control, sell some players, reduce the debt and wage bill and try doing it old school with kids and unknowns

Been a rocky old week for Everton fans with Kenwright saying there is no cash and Moyes saying he won't become a selling manager. I still think there is the nucleus of a good side there but perhaps lacking a potent goalscorer and that a few injuries will really test you.

Arsenal I'm afraid are in for a tough old season in my opinion. Too many top class players gone. There are some real talents emerging which is what Wenger is one of the best at doing but I don't think they are all ready yet. I can see an early CL exit assuming they get there and thats not a given and no higher than 6th in the league.

As for me I'm a Fulham fan so we always start with the assumption we'll find a way to get relegated and then work up from there. If your a Fulham fan you'll know what I mean. I think we're a couple of players light and on the one hand would like a European run but on the other I'd prefer a comfy 8th place and a doemstic cup run ideally to Wembley so I can banish my childhood tears from 75

From what I saw last week they had enough fight..

I think the only people who can call for Wenger to be replaced are Arsenal fans.

From what I've heard, the Arsenal fans are more than happy for Wenger to stay.

I, for one, agree with them.

I work with 2 gooners and they are both very unhappy at the moment, one of them did not even recognise some of the team today?
I'm a Hammer, still peed off from relegation, but happy with the appointment of Big Sam ;)

Something wrong on the training ground 10 years with the same tactics, everyone knows we cant breakdown a 5 man midfield so thats what they do. No surprise we play better against teams who come for 3 points, Utd, City, chelsea etc but the teams who come for a draw simply stop us playing and we have no plan B

Only highlight of yesterday was Ross Barkly as someone once said "Remember thr name"

The season is young for the toffee's !! I like Moye's but every comment on the radio yesterday was about how negative the tactics were.

I was surprised to see Arteta on the bench, and Saha aswell given how dangerous he could be from a Baines set piece. These players wont play well if they are always on the bench and at home against QPR they should be starting !!

Keep sticking that head in the sand.

I have said it for a long while now Wenger is finished and anyone thinking he is doing a great job needs looked at.

The board have said there is money to spend (def has to be once you have netted the £60 plus million from selling your 2 best players!) yet he decides to let the club fall behind their rivals.

6th place at best for them this year.

Pardew to replace him,he'll be manager of the year this season.

Aside from that did anyone see the Makems number 1??
That was one dreadful display,Gordon has to get his place back even if he is only 1% fit!

The only thing that separates Arsenal from trophies is Wenger's philosophy, spending money on a decent keeper, two strong centre halves, two ball winning midfielders and a decent 20+ goals a season striker. :D

Surely the message that all top players are leaving is an indication that things just aren't right? :D

I agree that their squad is weaker this year and they will struggle in the league.

But...

Wenger runs the club very well. He never spends more than he should for a player and has an excellent track record of finding excellent young players and those players who's careers have stalled (Henry, etc).

Wenger's one of the best managers in the Premier League - end of. His teams play exquisite football - football that, as a Palace fan, I can only dream of my boys playing.
