Interesting, the raised green is the real feature of that hole. How much have they lowered it?

They've lowered it about 0.6 of a meter Karen ,it looks much more easier to hit now as its a bigger target.

Already played in one interclub knockout and have another this weekend, then a society day at Formby Ladies and a pro-am before our first qualifier of the season on March 31st.

False dawn for me.

All signed up for the season starter on Saturday an Am-Am and just got an email saying its postponed due to more heavy rain and the course not recovering fast enough.

Deep breath.......count to 10.

While disappointing I do think its the right decision as we don't want the course churning up before the season gets going proper

Hoping the course is at least open for a knock (probably 15 holes if anything as avoids the worst areas)

Tomorrow the tee times open up for the first medal on the 31st March so fingers crossed it is at least playable by then.

Dunno exactly when our individual comps start but our first 'summer' comp of the season is a Texas Scramble on March 26th. Was all set to play and then my mate very rudely arranged his 40th for that day up in Aberdeen. So I'll have to wait a week or two. Looking forward to it enormously.

Early! Just before 8 tee time at Eyemouth.

How did you get on? Was absolutely freezing when I set off at 9:50 and the wind was pretty constant all day. Only 28pts but no surprise with the cold, wind and so many visitors that it's looking like R/O, so no 0.1 back

I actually played really well, had 2 birdies at 8 and 10. Hit a stonking drive and a 3 iron that just rolled off the green at the par 5 18th - got a 6!

Only scored 27 points so you beat me.

I thought the greens were really good for the time of year.

Greens were in really good nick. Closest I got to a birdie was a lip out for a 2 on the 12th, was gutted when it didn't drop

Wish ours were. They had been slitted, assuming to allow air into the roots but were very bouncy over all the marks. Necessary work so a case of grinning and bearing it but frustrating when you putt from two feet and it dives miles left. Not long until the clocks change though
