New Putter?

I went for a putter fitting mid way through last year to see if anything could shift my spider x, I wasn't looking for a particular kind but after a few hours I ended up buying the scotty phantom 9 and I must say my putting has never been better, never would I have thought out of all the available options the scotty Cameron would be the one for me,

Sometimes the latest isn't necessarily the best - at least not for me, anyway: I've just switched back from my relatively new Odyssey White Hot Pro 2.0 Rossie PP to the putter model I started out with - which I borrowed from a good friend's mother at the time - a Ray Cook M1-G3 mallet putter!

I just played it on the last round this Wednesday, and it saved me quite a few strokes!

Apart from that, it also delights the player with a quiet but friendly “ping!” with every well-struck shot!

The Odyssey may be the more current putter, but the Ray Cook is *for me* (!) the better putter overall, so the Odyssey had to make room in my bag.

BTW, it's only available used, but sometimes at extremely low prices: I've seen it for less than $10 (plus shipping).

I had a putter fitting at our local Edwin Watts and bought a TM Spider Tour X #1. With three rounds under my belt I'm very pleased. I've had 34, 33 and 33 putts in those rounds with only one three putt. Today I made a fifty footer for birdie. I know there's a lot of luck involved when that happens. However, I've made several others outside of ten feet. I think this is only going to get better. I'm really short off the tee and have to chip and putt well to score. Confidence is the key being good with the flat stick and so far I'm confident with this Spider.

Don't get too cocky, the magic shop dust will soon wear off and you will be back to putting as bad as you ever were in a couple of rounds :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Only joking, I feel I am putting a lot better with my new Spider. Had it about a year and still putting well (but no stats to back this up).
