New Putter?

After using the same Odyssey White Hot putter for over twenty years, I'm thinking it's past time for an upgrade. While I still favor getting a Anser type blade like my White Hot I'm open to maybe a mallet.
I see more and more players both on tour and at my club putting with Taylormade, Scottie Cameron or Odyssey mallets. I'm playing today with a friends Spyder to see how I like it.
Any thoughts and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Don't ignore Mizuno putters or for a lower budget, Cleveland make some nice ones too.

An underrated putter brand is Mizuno...
I have the M-Craft VI in the bag and it will stay there until it falls apart....when it will be replaced by another one I've got in the garage...
Certainly as good as any other milled putter I've used......and half the price when I bought mine.

I’d add the Wilson Infinite series of putters into the mix as well. The Buckinghamshire model is absolutely lovely well weighted and the price point is superb.

I got a counter balance spider last spring and love it. Not the centre shafted version, they just looked too strange for me. Quite a few of our group has gone for the CB versions now.

Putters are very personal and you need to like what your looking down on.

I like the Odyssey double wide blade putter.

Have been using the same putter for over 30 years......it is not the putter but the idiot hanging on to it.

There are millions of putters out there these days. I would always recommend a mallet over an Anser style, there's just more forgiveness and consistency there. Unless you hate looking down at one of course.

Then you have zero torque options now (that are mostly centre-shafted), or the standard face-balanced ones you had before. Personally I haven't tried a ZT model yet, I am keen to one day to see what the fuss is about!

Ultimately you need to get down to a shop that has a big stock and try hitting a few. Maybe even book yourself a fitting. I wasn't fit for my current putter, but I would still say it's worthwhile doing, given that you probably hit between 35-45% of your shots with this club. I've got a big birthday later this year so planning to try some zero torque options and maybe get a fitting then.

I’ve had a few over the years from oddesey 2 ball, blade style, TM spyder ect. None of them I really got confident with.
Then bought an oddesey Toulon 2022 which I find confidence inspiring and I think it looks great.
