I recently got a Vodafone Smart Ultra 6. It's 4G & £17 a month with nothing up front. It's a great phone with a nice large screen.

Sony Xperia Z series are really good. I currently have the z2 but I think they are on the z5 or something now. My contract is out in may, and see no need to pay for upgrade so I'm keeping phone and going sim only - giffgaff unlimited calls, text and data for £20
