Any suggestions for a new phone gratefully received.

I've had Blackberries for years and HID has a flip phone that he can't even access the internet on:o Don't want an iphone. The choice of Samsungs is confusing..........

We've gone Moto G recently
Had mine nearly 2 years, HID has had the 2nd gen G for a year - no problems, good phones, does everything you need
And pretty cheap too!
Will be getting the newest G in a couple of weeks

Just so happens I've been looking at the Moto G 3rd gen one online a couple of minutes ago so good to hear positives.

HTC are my preferred choice of handsets, you could get a decent deal on the new A9.

Motorola Moto G. Great phone, easy to use and gets excellent reviews. A nice clean interface with none of the guff that clog up the likes of Samsung. Also has a decent camera and runs 4G. And not expensive. My good lady has just got one of these on Tesco mobile with 1000 minutes talk, 5000 texts and 1gb data per month. £16.00 per month all in which drops down to £11.50 a month after 24 months when the phone is paid off.

Why not an iPhone?

I'm thinking, this is like going shopping for an electric trolley and coming home with a GoKart

Great battery too!

Just got a Nexus 6p. Has android without all the useless top layers that Samsung etc put on it. Really impressed with great front speakers as well. Other option for me was the LG G4. Really good phone and normally on a bargain contract

for a golfer lot to be said in favor of an iphone 6s

but that said right now would stay away from the new microsoft windows 10 despite the clamor it's pretty clunky not a very smooth os system on a phone - ios or android a good deal better os for sure

probably the best current samsung is the galaxy s6

lg's lg g4

google nexus 6p

How about a Microsoft/Nokia Windows phone? Not the same number of apps but I quite like the Windows 10 interface and again simple to use.

Took delivery of one of these for my works phone just a couple of weeks back. Compared to the all singing Samsung it's just as good a phone and at a fraction of the cost. Syncs seamlessly with PC and handles all my email as one would want. Great phone IMO.

My htc one m7 died last week, so I am also looking for a phone. I have bought a Samsung Galaxy j1 as a throw away, while I wait for the new Samsung s7 to come out. I can't see the point in paying for the s6 when the s7 comes out in March.

I don't do Apple. I have an iPad, which is junk. iTunes is terrible too, and both of my iPods are dead. To me, Apple sell over priced and under specced rubbish.
