New local rule for the winter at our course.

I pretty much played the same way yesterday Dave, on the 10th when I put it way way right onto the 18th the ball was half covered in mud, but I couldn't bring myself to clean it as I missed the fairway (not that I would of hit it had I aimed for it, it was just to difficult a shot off that dodgy matt)

I swear the 8 iron I hit to the green(that was buried deep in the long stuff) swerved in the air away from the green as a result of the mud on the ball. (probably my fault to be fair but thats what am sticking too)

Clean and place from fairway. and anything else I would be happy with! Obv plugged lies in the rough should be dropped!

Played today on the rules again, turns out putting from the fringe hasnt been ok'd yet so everything had to be dropped back to the semi, I know its the same for everyone playing but its bloody frustrating dropping from just short of the greens on the par 5s only to have to drop left or right and instead of pitch or putt up the green, you have a lob shot over a bunker to a hidden pin. Still managed a 75 (par 71) so still reasonably happy.

brendy, maybe you need a chipper?

Though seriously sawone today in a golf shop & wasn't as against the design as I had been from the initial photo's.. certainly got a bit more street cred than a chipper iron.
