Hello everyone, I'm Gord, I joined up today after googling greenkeeper forums and came across this forum when reading a post made some 5 years ago. The forum looked very active and looked to have a good community so I thought I'd join up.

I started playing golf around 15 years ago, but didn't join a club until I was 17 when I started a Greenkeeping apprenticeship. After about 4 or 5 years I kind of lost interest in golf, mostly because I was spending 8 hours on the course at my work and also when I was out playing I'd get a lot of members on my back asking me this and that when the only thing I wanted was a nice quiet game.

After taking 5 years off I got back into it last year, getting a handicap of 18 at my current club. Last season I was beginning to get the nick name of 'The 2nd Place Kid' as I had a total of seven runner ups ! I finally got a few wins near the end of the season which helped me take the Order Of Merit trophy home with me

This season I haven't played much, mostly due to the weather and the number of times our course has been closed. I started the season with a handicap of 15 and soon got it down to my current 12.8.

Pretty sure that 'Wull' is a greenkeeper over Killin direction.
