I'm pretty new to golf and when I started last year bought some cheap clubs (longridge alpha 2 set). I've got myself playing from 40+ over to around 26-30 over a round and am playing more regularly so am looking to get that towards the lower twenties. I known that my technique is by far the most important aspect but I also want to upgrade some of my gear. A friend has given me a nicklaus driver that I am much better with than my original driver but I still hit plenty of fades with it. I then also struggle to get consistent shots with the fairway wood and hybrid from the set. The irons are more consistent and I have recently upgraded my putter.
I can only afford around £200 and so I am wondering which clubs I should look to upgrade as a priority. What would everyone recommend I change first and are there any clubs that would suit me going forwards as I aim to improve my game. Thanks
