I'm I'm looking at getting new gap wedges as my game clearly needs them having to either play around with a 45 degree PW or with my 56D SW and 60D Mcdaddy 2 wedge.
My question is what would people recommend to go for Inbetween my PW to my 60D?
My average hitting with my PW is 120 yards to my 60D wedge 60 yards. My old 56SW was anything from 80-100 yards having to try and accomadate and play around with different yardages in to the green where I want closer gaps to fill than just one club between 120 yards and 60 yards. I've been looking at the Cleveland CG15 wedges unless anyone can recommend better ones and was looking at getting a bounce of around 14 as the ground is normally soft as it rains all the time and I normally take divots.
Thanks.

I'm not liking the Mcdaddy wedge tbh though I use it atm. I forgot to say I'm wanting three gap wedges Inbetween the 45 and 60 degree

3 between 45 and 60 so you go 45 48 52 56 60.
Go cleeveland with the buy 1 get 1 half price but 5 wedges is potentially going to leave you light at the top end of the bag?

Driver 3 wood 4 5 6 7 8 9 PW 48 52 56 60 putter that's what I could end up in the bag with ;) debating whether to do 48 54 and 56 though 48 52 and 56 sounds better.

Unless you get the exact same wedges, same spec and all, I would go and hit some wedges, preferably with a launch monitor, to find out exactly what distance you hit each wedge. You may find that, with different manufacturers, the difference in distance doesn't always equate to an exact loft difference.

I found the mid point between my 45 and 55 was a 48 from a different manufacturer.

Easier said than done ;) companies mainly the big one doesn't have left handed wedges they had 1 left handed wedge last time I went and got fitted for my new irons and wedge. :(

How can you not the Mackdaddy PMG! Its great.
Personally I'd say that's too many wedges, you'll never know which one to pull! And tbh with wedges your not really hitting full shots anyway. Can't remember where I read it but some legend or other said most people would be better practising and becoming proficient with less wedges.
Anyway your a lower hc than me so good luck which ever way you go. Love the Cally forged btw, try one if you can

I never use anything off the tee other than really driver 3 wood or 5 iron don't even really use my 4 iron tbh as I strike and hit the 5 iron better than the 4 for some reason. If I had anything between 3 wood to 4 iron it would only ever be for a par 5 as most of the time I can reach holes with driver high iron 3 wood high iron or 5 iron mid to high iron.
Driver 270-300 yards
3 wood 225-250 yards
4 iron 205 yards
5 iron 195 yards
6 iron 185 yards
7 iron 175 yards
8 iron 160 yards
9 iron 150 yards
PW 120 yards to 140 yards if I go hard
SW 80-100 yards
60 degree wedge 60 yards.
Atm with the courses I've played I have less than 100 yards left to the flag all other irons are mainly used for the par 3s
this is how my rounds go for distance wise and yeah I need to practice on my short game it's mainly because I'm trying to make shots with my PW 110 to 90 yards not trusting my SW having to go hard hitting for 100 yards and going soft hands for 80 yards changing the shot with the club.
This is what I did yesterday.
1st 140 yards OB 3 off tee short green chip in 4.
2nd 380 yards 65 left in get par 4
3rd 310 yards 40 left in get par 4
4th 320 yards 80 left in walk off bogey 5 :(
5th 355 yards 70 left in walk off bogey 5 :(
6th 270 yards hit green side bunker 1st shot bogey 5 :(
7th 370 yards 60 left in walk off bogey 5 :(
8th 155 yards missed 7-10 footer for birdie :(
9th 550 yards average golf on hole nowt special walk off par 5
10th 500 yards 20 yards right green for 2 end with bogey 6 :(
11th 335 yards 40 yards left in walk off with double bogey 6 :(
12th 440 yards 135 left in walk off with a double bogey 6 :(
13th 200 yards short left of green double bogey 5 :(
14th 380 yards hit straight long into rough stuff DNF hole :(
15th 225 yards par three left rough not found. provisional hit green missed putt for 5
16th 315 yards 30 left to green walk off with par 4.
17th 405 drive right of green 350-360 drive didn't bother playing hole do to a reason with playing partners :(
18th 160 yards short of green chips on then picks up couldn't be bothered putting. :(

I would suggest you spend the money on a couple of short game lessons rather than filling your bag with wedges. Most decent players can get by quite comfortably with 2 wedges. And looking at where you dropped your shots above, I think you would benefit long term.

Looks like your course does require a range of shots under 120 so can understand that you might need an extra wedge - there's a big gap between your PW and SW. I've carried a GW for years and I now use a 50 rather than 52 as my PW is 46 and I think it gives me more options if I need a fuller shot. It is one of my favourite clubs and is my go to club for anything 80 - 40 yards, unless I really need the extra loft of my SW (56).

However, that said I think a session with the pro might be the best first step. Looking at the emoticons you were unhappy with results requiring shots of 20, 40, 60, 70 and 80. Those are usually "feel" shots. What club(s) did you use for those and what was the problem? It would be worth getting a pro to look at your technique (and choice of club/shot). He can also advise you about what combination of clubs might be best. Personally I'm not sure you need 3 wedges between PW and LW, 2 should be fine to give you options for all the distances.

I'm with this!

It seems to be your chipping that is the problem - something I can empathise withe!
