I expect she wears the ladies ones and glad she has a bit of taste. My future wife also has a pair , as does my best man plus a few of my other friends. Would you like to make any judgements about them based on their choice of footwear

I wear the male version - nice and comfy , also have a pair of Adidas casuals and a pair of K Swiss - none of them are for any sporting activity.

I do have a pair of asics for the gym.

Being ex RAF I bet you have a pair of 3/4 length shorts and some REEBOK classics hiding somewhere........:p

2 little questions here for people to answer:

1) If you were going down the pub for a couple of cheeky pints what would you wear on your feet with your jeans?

2) What do you wear when you are wearing shorts?

Curious to see what people would wear and please do not answer if you are thinking of saying CROCS!!!!!!

Dread to think what some would say about my limited edition bat man converse. I wear them all the time.

Would say they are interesting trainers and should in no way reflect any judgement on the person wearing them :D

I would say they are excellent. There are currently 8 pairs of All Stars at our house and 3 of them are mine. I would not call them trainers though. Pumps? Sneakers? Either way, they aren't for sport!

Have to agree with that. Been wearing converse for the best part of 30 years, never have enough pairs.

Depends which pub and what the weather is like? Not my squash shoes, that is for sure....

With shorts at the beach or going hiking in summer then flip flops or Salomon Techamphibians but again, it depends what I am doing.

Worryingly have a matching Joker pair as well.
The cynic in me says that you have wanted to admit this to the interweb for a long, long time. You now decide to do it on April fool's day. This is an under the radar manoeuvre, and is not of the required standard. You are sentenced to showing us a picture of them. Fair play for admitting though.

As I don't believe jeans look good older men I have not worn them for about 35 years. So with my M&S casual troosers I would wear casual shoes or deck shoes. I'm a bit worried now that my Merril treking shoes now look suspiciously like 'trainers'.
My legs are too skinny for shorts.

What are they ?

So when exactly are people not allowed to wear trainers as part of casual wear ? Is there an age limit ?
My dad wears nike air because they are good for his ankles he is 84 and can still walk miles because he looks after his body by wearing the proper shoes its got nothing to do with age.

Wow some real crap spouted in this thread and i've not even started yet

I agree grown men shouldn't wear football shirts especially when they're 2 sizes too small:D

Trainees or Converse/Vans, i'd rather walk barefooted than wear the latter!
