Saw the new cobra driver, ZL model, on the homepage of the golf monthly website and to be honest although it doesnt look tooo much different to the L5V, it is still absolutely gorgeous.
i am expecting this to be a very expensive purchase and just wish that i now hadnt got my S9-1 the other week. Hopefully this club some how makes its way into my hands ;)

what are your thoughts?

Is it the Pro version of the S91? Both versions are great clubs. Why would you want to change just for the looks department?

Having that much money at 13

Make the most of it,the day will soon come when you need to think about buying a packet of tees.

i think you'll find i have bought everything except the 5 wood, which i am obviously selling lol. this year i would hate to see my golfing bill! including all money on competitions and annual fees i think i have spent well over £1500 :S

You might aswell top it of with that fancy driver then, whats a couple of hundred quid when you've got money to waste. ;)

Dude, i am 14 and you need to get an idea for money. I earn my money in a shop and the only time i get golf stuff is for birthdays or Christmas. You do know i mean no harm but you sound very arrogant. Sorry to put it that way.

Feary,

Eloquently put for one so young. Pete_93 does sound a bit like Mono in his early days but to be fair to Connor he's learnt and progressed both on here and particularly in his golf. Hopefully Pete_93 will understand that for many, in these times its perhaps insensitive to parade the generosity of his parents or the amount he has spent.

I remember when I first started labouring for my Dad and Brothers when I was 16. I was earning £180 a week in the summer hols and although I was only supposed to be working those 6 weeks, the money was too tempting (it seemed a lot at the time) and I quit my A levels to carry on working. I went out and spent all my wages on whatever took my fancy, it didn't half come as a shock when I moved out and had to pay the rent and bills etc. Now 7 years down the line, I have a beautiful wife and 2 kids and although I have to work my socks off to get by I wouldn't give it up for the world.
Sorry if im being overly personal, but the moral of the story is, be prepared for having to put the blinkers on when the new Cobra driver comes out some time in the near future.
