New Clubs and I'm depressed !!

You have brought them at the right time. It takes 4 to 5 month to get use to a new set of clubs. No need to panic, you have all the winter to play with them, get to know them. Next sping you`ll be off to a flyer. Go and book some lessons as well, do it properly.

Has anyone else been through the pains of new clubs and come out the other side ? Tell me it will happen for me....pleeeease !!!

Cheers.

Yes, almost every time.

The hardest set to get used to were.....drum roll.....C/F Mizunos.

I went from o-t-s Tommy Armour to C/F T zoids.....

Give it time. You will get there :)

I think you have fallen for the oldest affliction in the book of golf namely the "I've got new clubs can't wait to break the club record syndrome." The symptoms are 1. eagerness to get to the course ASAP to try the new sticks. 2.Knowing you are gonna play the round of your life. 3.forgetting everything you know about golf because your new magic sticks are going to do it all and you will not even have to try.

Lot of sense in here. I've had my new set for two months - first round with them was awful, but last weekend it was all finally starting to fall into place. You need a bit of familiarity that breeds confidence, and then it will come. Stick with them!

Glad to hear it! Remember they are Mizuno's, proper quality irons, you are not gonna hit great shots very time, but put a good swing on a mizuno and you will get the reward. Give it a month or so and report back. :D

You should certainly stick with them i dont agree with a club being to hard to hit. You bought these clubs so you obviously like them just stick at it and you will be amazed how quick you will have them working the way you want!!!

Honestly mate we have all been there, done it and bought the flipping T shirt. Go out, relax, swing like you did with your old bats and it'll come good.

I'll second that.
Been there, done it.
First time out with my new Mizzies I was going to set a new course record. They had been custom fitted for me, so they had to work didn't they????
Seriously, you'd have thought I'd never picked a golf club up in my life. The three mates I was playing with were all taking the pee out of me and having a right chuckle....which made things worse.
I really thought I had made a mistake but 5 or 6 rounds later I had got the hang of them.
I guarantee it is you and not the clubs
;)

Just think slow with good tempo and rhythm when you take the club back in the swing, Watch the back of the ball and forget what you're holding.
You'll need to put a smooth swing on those badboys.

I have to be honest and say my first round with the R9's was going to be a golfing triumph. It wasn't but that was purely down to me, my desire to smack it longer and higher than ever before and my huge expectations.

They are great clubs as yours are. I'm starting a huge transitional change to my swing and don't expect to get the best from my new sticks until next Spring. Stick with it. Keep the faith and try and find a swing and tempos that will give you a chance to get the maximum from each shot.
