just fitted the umbrella holder to my hillbilly terrain cart and my nike brolly's handle doesn't fit in!!!!

anyone recommend a good strong brolly with a thin(ish) handle that has a self erecting button.

I don't really know of any brollies that completely self-erect but I'd just take the umbrella holder (on it's own) into your pro shop, AG or similar and try them out to see what fits.

I've had Ping, Titleist & a Callaway brollies and they were all good. I think any of the "big" makes will do you fine.

I have a Hillbilly Terrain, and when I bought the umbrella holder I found that the handle on my Nike umbrella (which I thought was brilliant btw) was too big to fit in it!!

Small world innit :)

I asked a few sellers on ebay what size the handles were because I had this issue, and got answers back like "it's about 5inches long mate". Thanks a bunch!

In the end I went for the Hillbilly one and it's fine. It has the button on it, and is twin canopy to let strong winds through.

Up here in Scotland I'd imagine the whole trolley complete with clubs would take off in some of the winds I've played in lately!

Why don't you just walk holding your umbrolly?

because i want to be able to get clubs from my bag without the brolly flying away and keep the clubs dry as can be on a rainy day. I also want to be able to hang a spare towel inside the brolly so that i can use it to clean clubs etc, which is a two handed job.

Just because ok :)

You don't need a new brolley!

I have a Nike brolley that wouldn't fit in my GoKart brolley holder - solution is to trim the lumpy bits off the brolley handle, you dont need to take much off but it will work and save you £20 for a new brolley.

Takes about half a minute with a hacksaw.
